The closest metro station is Fawdon which is just a 5-10min walk away. (the journey time from Fawdon to Haymarket is approx 15 min). There's also a bus stop at the end of the road as well, with regular buses into the city centre. Nearby are local shops such as supermarket, Indian takeway, off license. It's a 30min walk to Gosforth High Street. Within a 15 min walk, there's a large 24-hour supermarket, a gym and some other shops.
