Qualified Social Worker (QSW) required for a local authority with a reputation for paying above the industry standard. Our client is currently seeking a self motivated, hard working Qualified Social Worker to join their children's department. The council has a highly established reputation for high standards of professional service.
Ideally candidates will have a minimum 3 years working knowledge within children and families settings, with experience of court work and child protection procedures. Although candidates with less but fully relevant experience will also be considered.
The successful candidate will be working with individual service users, undertaking assessments in line with the Assessment Framework and other relevant local and national guidance, including that for looked after children(LAC), Children in Need(CIN), providing advice, counselling and other forms of personal assistance with the aim of enhancing and/or protecting individual welfare. Support can be offered in house and training opportunities may well be available.
The successful candidate will need to hold a Dip SW or equivalent, must be registered with the GSCC, have a current CRB and hold a valid UK driving license. The post is looking to run for a minimum 4 months contract (possibility of an on-going contract). Pay rates are negotiable based on experience and availability.
