Background
Based within the Customer Service and Sales Risk and Compliance Department in Newcastle upon Tyne, the Customer Service and Sales department will be responsible for embedding operational and regulatory risk management throughout Customer Service and Sales. In addition, through effective identification of operational and regulatory risks, assist Customer Service and Sales to design and implement appropriate controls.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
· Responsible for delivery of advice and guidance to the business to deliver enhanced:-
Processes
Scripts
Training material
Communications
Training and competence
Gap analysis
Risk and Control self assessment
Business Continuity Plans
Incident Crisis Management Framework delivery
Responsible for delivery of accurate, appropriate and timely information to support delivery of Customer Service and Sales objectives
Responsible for delivery of risk and compliance plans and objectives in conjunction with colleagues within Customer Service and Sales Risk and Compliance
Champion and drive the achievement of corporate and departmental scorecard and vision objectives within Customer Service and Sales function.
Develop and impart knowledge of various risk specialisms and compliance knowledge
Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing
Persistence, analytical, an eye for detail, an ability to complete projects on time, tackling issues and meeting deadlines
Negotiation and influencing skills
Self motivated with a general curiosity and broad understanding of the world and an interest in business affairs and human behaviours, to be able to understand where risk might come from and learn from how others have dealt with it
A detailed knowledge of service and sales operations and the regulatory, physical and economic environment in which sales operates
Previous experience within Compliance and or Operational Risk desirable, as is a Risk or Compliance qualification
