Head Chef required for busy branded Italian restaurant in Durham City Centre.

As well as day to day chef duties, responsibilities will include:
Ordering
Assisting with stock take and actioning any issues with food costs
Setting par levels and prep lists
Training and developing kitchen team
Ensuring kitchen is up to company audit standards

This is a demanding position in one of the brands busiest restaurants, with the potential for further promotion in the future e.g. to area chef if desired.
It would be ideally suited to a second chef in a current high turnover restaurant who feels they are ready to take the next step or a current head chef seeking a new challenge.
Previous experience working with Italian food and/or in a branded restaurant environment would be an advantage.

Salary is paid hourly which will be around the £20K mark on a 45 hour week for the right candidate plus weekly tips and the potential to earn a high quarterly bonus.
