Our Client is based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Company was established in 1957 and during the last 49 years they have earned an excellent reputation within the construction industry. They regularly carry out work in the Health sector, with Housing Associations, Local Authorities as well as many Private Sector Clients. Projects size range from £250,000 to £15,000,000.
They require Business Development Manager. Main purpose of the job would be
to provide Company with a steady stream of tender opportunities in order to increase turnover and profitability in line with the business plan, as well as to promote the image of Company in the market place.
Key task:
o Provide new business opportunities
o Identify key decision makers within Clients, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and other professionals
o Review regularly potential clients and identify their individual work programmes
o Ensure that the value of new business opportunities is sufficient each month to support and maintain the targeted growth for the Kendall Cross business unit.
o Maintain high market visibility by attending networking and construction events.
o Prepare and submit pre-qualification documents
Experience/Skills:
o Superb presentation skills
o Proven business development skills
o Being able to identify key decisions makers and instigate and conduct successful meetings.
o Ability to create and participate in marketing functions/events
o Existing network of contacts and previous track record is important
o An energetic, self motivated company representative
o Flexible team player with sound academic background
o Natural relationship builder with good computer skills
o Knowledge of marketing in the construction industry.
