Northern Rock Treasury is responsible for setting the strategies and policies to meet the liquidity and funding requirements of the bank. A team of experienced dealers execute transactions in the money and capital markets as part of this strategy. In addition interest rate and currency risk management solutions are transacted with a number of key City counterparties. The function is supported by the Settlements team in the back office, our first line of defence for risk management in the form of a Middle Office and teams ensuring compliance and operational risks are managed.

Due to a strategic restructuring programme we are actively looking to recruit a Treasury Dealer.

Reporting to the Head of Execution, you will have responsibility of the management of the execution of treasury transactions within board approved limits. The main responsibilities for this position are:

Supervision of fixed income, credit, derivatives and money market portfolios, execution of funding, liquidity and hedging strategies.

Assist in the management of wholesale funding and Group liquidity.

Manage the development and maintenance of brokers and wholesale counterparties.

Liaise with PMU and other key areas in the development and performance of existing and new retail products.

Monitor credit news of existing and potential new counterparties.

Compliance with Treasury controls, policies (including limits) and regulatory requirements (in particular current and future liquidity regimes).
