After moving to the area 6 months ago, my current lodger has now decided to move on so I'm now looking for someone to fill the space. The room will be available on Saturday 30th of August.
My current lodger is leaving on good terms and is willing to give anyone a reference about living with me!

About the house:
Set in a quiet cul-de-sac in Sacriston. My home was only built in September 2007 so there is no draughty rooms or damp.
The house has a large living room with my marine fish tank (Nemo and friends) If I get bored looking at these the sky TV is also there.
The kitchen/dining room has french doors looking onto the garden and patio.
There is one bathroom with thermostatic powerful shower over the bath. There is also a downstairs loo so we'll never be caught short.
There is wireless broadband in the house

There is only one parking space at my house which is mine but there is loads of parking on the street.
From the house it's just a short walk (under 5 minutes with a slow wonder) to the local shops, take aways and bus stops.

The buses are fantastic with buses to Durham/Chester-le-street/Stanley/Arniston centre/Metrocentre and even Newcastle. These are every 20 minutes. It takes under 8 minutes to make it from the bus stop to the bus station.

Sacriston is under 3 miles into Durham City centre and there is almost no congestion as the roads are very good and little used. Direct accesses to Newcollege/Durham university hospital/county hall etc.

About the room:

The room has been setup well with:
A double bed with a top quality branded mattress.
Ikea double and single wardrobes.
Ikea Draws
28" TV with freeview.
Touch operated bedside lamp

If you need some storage, the loft is boarded out.

The view from this room is the best in the house. It looks over the village and national trust land.

The price includes:
Rent for the room
Council tax
Gas / Electric
Phone (not calls)
TV and SKY
Also included are the consumables for the house, loo rolls, kitchen roll, cleaning stuff etc etc.

All you have to pay for is your own stuff like food, washing poweder etc.

There is a good discount for people just looking for a room on weekdays.

About me:
I'm a working professional who normally does 9-5.

Although the house is new I don't go for the minimalist look, it's a home and that's how I treat it. I'm not one for complaining about a couple of cups left in the sink.

I get one with everyone!

One of my main hobbies is building and using 4x4's offroad, this is not done at the house. I also try to make my millions online but have not yet.

As you are aware the lodger normally has very little rights. However, I am very willing to issue a contract to suit and the notice period can be anything you wish from 2 days to 1 month.

Who I'm looking for:
Preferably a professional but would consider respectable student (references). Not too bothered by Age/Sex etc. Someone who will respects privercy (as I do) and not someone who will have a house wrecking party the first night I'm away. I don't smoke so don't want it in the house, if your happy to smoke outside (even when it's snowing) then that's fine.

I hope this long advert has not put your off, but some adverts are surely just a joke.
