Senior Marketing and Communications Officer - £24-26k


Based in Tyne & Wear our client is a public sector organisation and they are now looking for a Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to join their team. The candidate will be degree qualified in marketing/communications or similar, be a self-starter, enthusiastic, positive and a problem-solver.

This is a busy and varied role in a friendly and professional environment and as such they are looking for outstanding candidate to be invited for interview.

The successful candidate will have gained the experience below in order to do the job well:

* Have at least 2/3 years experience in a similar post
* Previous experience of creating and delivering marketing and communications campaigns.
* Experience of developing, writing and implementing marketing/promotional plans
* Experience of Internal Communications
* Have experience of a range of marketing activities including organising and managing events and exhibitions, producing publicity materials, PR, market research direct mail and web technologies.
* Used to working on a number of projects simultaneously and to deadlines.
* Project management experience.
* Event management experience
* Experience of commissioning and managing external agencies.
* Experience of briefing a designer and critically evaluating their work
* Experience of sourcing, negotiating and buying media, print, advertising and other services

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interpersonal skills - the ability to work effectively and diplomatically with others
Ability to write creative and engaging copy for different audiences and mediums
Excellent use of grammar and an accurate proof reader
Good organisation skills - able to manage multiple projects from scope to implementation
Highly creative and ability to generate ideas
Excellent knowledge and experience of design and production processes
Ability to use research to inform marketing planning.
IT skills.
Understanding of the web and new media.
Excellent understanding of the development and management of a brand
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Problem solving skills
Energetic, enthusiastic and positive and able to enthuse others.
