Brilliant – another DIY job off the list. Would be better if she painted her own room with a little help from her boyfriend – but that’s teenage daughters for you. She will be overjoyed when we collect her later this afternoon. Just the colours she asked for.

We used Dulux this time. Needed to thin the paint with 4 parts water (4:1). Last job was with B&Q own label, didn’t need thinning. Know which I prefer – keeps costs to a minimum.

Found it was best to LIGHTLY spray the rollerhead with a water bottle to help moisten the fabric. Primed much quicker that way.

Two jobs done and the roller is in the sink cleaning. Have a look at youtube. Search for paint runner and you will see the process. don’t doubt it will clean good as new again, so time to sell the spare I bought. Could give to her boyfriend – “ …but its not what he’s good at dad…”. Could give it to his dad I suppose, when we finally meet him.

Anyway, job done. Her mum will go and collect her – and I am let out for a round of golf and my lunch at Silloth. Excellent course if you are up this way.
This one is a genuine and original Selkin – not an EZ Paint look alike with half the bits missing.
