Finance Manager

We have a Client based just to the West of Newcastle City Centre who is looking for a Qualified Accountant to come in as their Finance Manager to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

* Management of the Finance team
* Actively training and developing individuals both within the finance team and the organisation as a whole
* Control of a fast moving environment, implementing strong financial controls and systems (systems to include invoicing, debt control, expenditure control (both internal and external), works orders, stock control, asset management) and advising on the financial implications of operational and commercial decisions and activities.
* Invoicing to be controlled in line with cash flow
* Act as finance expert on cross functional projects
* Assess and appraise capital expenditure proposals and other matters requiring cash
* Continually develop the accounting process and reporting to improve efficiency and support business decision making
* Ensure financial policies are implemented and complied with across the company
* Identify measure and report on key performance indicators relating to finance.
* Development of financial awareness of all staff and their understanding in relation to the business
* Assist with negotiations with suppliers to achieve best price
* Provide financial information to the board, shareholders and the company
* Completion of monthly management accounts and monthly board report
* Responsible for completion of annual accounts working with external auditors as required
* Undertake regular analysis of business performance and make suggestions for improvement
