In this role, you’ll enable us to provide first-rate nursing care to our patients, ensuring that they have individually-tailored care plans in place. Acting as the line manager to our care team - particularly registered nurses – you’ll make sure that we continue to maintain the highest standards of best practice in clinical matters.
As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you’ll oversee the assessment of patients’ needs, as well as the development, implementation and evaluation of their care plans. You’ll also carry out assessment visits to potential patients, and will prepare the necessary reports.
In addition, you’ll act as a professional role model for other staff – participating in teaching programmes, and making sure they’ve got all the information and support they need. You’ll interview prospective employees, assist with the induction of new arrivals, and be involved in the appraisal process.
Your role will involve working with staff from other establishments and agencies to ensure a consistent approach is maintained, and offering professional support as required. We’ll also require you to participate in patient reviews, tribunals and handovers.
The home, an assessment and intervention unit, is itself a perfect example of helping people along their own particular care pathway. It provides an environment where someone can progress through the main service to the step-down Graded Rehabilitation Annexe, on the same site, and where they learn about and experience more independent living.
